Willy Zwaenepoel is a Professor Emeritus at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Department of Computer Science. His research interests include distributed computing systems, with a focus on peer-to-peer networks and distributed storage management. He has supervised multiple PhD theses at EPFL, including those of Sameh Mohamed Elnikety, Rodrigo Malta Schmidt, and others. His work has been presented at conferences such as the 26th International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems (ICDCS). He is affiliated with the Institute of Computer Science (IC) at EPFL and maintains a website for his research and publications.
