Regular biography
Rüdiger Urbanke is a Full Professor in the Department of Computer Science at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. His research focuses on information theory, coding theory, and communication systems. He supervises PhD students and teaches courses such as Advanced Information, Computation, and Communication. His work includes contributions to discrete mathematics and its applications in computer science. He is affiliated with the Laboratory of Information Theory and Communications and is based at the INR 116 building in Lausanne.
