Regular biography
Rachid Guerraoui is a Full Professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Department of Computer Science. His research interests include distributed algorithms and concurrent computing. He is affiliated with the Laboratoire de calcul distribué (DCL) and teaches courses such as Concurrent Computing (CS-453) and Distributed Algorithms (CS-451). He supervises PhD students and has directed theses of several researchers. His work focuses on the design of robust algorithms for modern architectures.
