Regular biography
Jean-Daniel Nicoud is a Professor Emeritus at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the Computer Science department. His research interests include microprocessors, microchip design, and hardware development, with a focus on PIC16xx and older architectures such as the 8080. He has contributed to projects involving C programming under the Arduino IDE and hardware design through Didel.com. Nicoud has mentored numerous EPFL PhD students and is associated with the Processor Architecture Laboratory at EPFL.
