Bixio Rimoldi is a Professor Emeritus at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the Department of Computer Science. He holds the title of Professor Honoraire and is associated with the IC-DO and INR departments. His research and academic contributions are reflected in his supervision of multiple PhD theses at EPFL, including those of Nicolae Chiurtu, Ninoslav Marina, Prasenjit Dey, Raja Manakkal, Peter Allan Berlin, Marius Kleiner, Vojislav Gajic, Saeid Haghighatshoar, and Adrian Dan Tarniceriu.
