Regular biography
Joerg Huelsken is an Associate Professor in the Department of BIO at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). His research focuses on tumor heterogeneity and stemness in cancer. Huelsken received his PhD in 1998 from Humboldt University and conducted postdoctoral research at the Max-Delbrueck Center for Molecular Medicine. He joined ISREC as an associate scientist and NCCR project leader in 2003 and was nominated Tenure Track Assistant Professor at EPFL in 2005. His teaching includes courses on cancer biology and signaling mechanisms in cancer.
