Hatice Altug

Hatice Altug is a Full Professor at the Institute of Bioengineering, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. She holds a Full Professor title in the BIO department and is affiliated with the Bionanophotonic Systems Laboratory. Her research focuses on nanophotonics, plasmonics, optical biosensors, and lab-on-a-chip devices. She is also involved in teaching and PhD supervision at EPFL and Boston University. Her work integrates nanophotonics with microfluidics and biopatterning to develop advanced biosensors for applications in disease diagnostics, environmental monitoring, and food safety.
