Regular biography
Christoph Merten is an Associate Professor in the BIO department at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. His research focuses on biomedical microfluidics, with an emphasis on microfluidic droplet technology for single-cell analysis. He teaches courses such as Basics in Bioinstrumentation and Entrepreneurship in Life Sciences. Merten also supervises PhD students and is involved in the Doctoral program in biotechnology and biomedical engineering. His laboratory provides hands-on training in microfluidic experimentation and single-cell genomics workflows.
