Brian McCabe is an Associate Professor in the BIO department at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. His research focuses on motor neuroscience in health and disease, aiming to understand neuronal circuit networks and interconnecting synapses within the motor system. He utilizes the Drosophila model organism, alongside rodents and human samples, to investigate neurodegenerative motor disorders. McCabe also teaches courses such as IGEM BIO-510 and BIO-411, which emphasize genetic circuit design and genome engineering. His work is supported by affiliations with the School of Life Sciences and the Brain-Mind Institute at EPFL.
