Dr. C. Brisken is a leading researcher in the field of breast cancer biology, with a focus on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying breast cancer progression, metastasis, and response to hormonal therapies. Her work has significantly advanced the understanding of how hormonal signals influence breast cancer development and how breast tissue can be modeled in preclinical studies to better predict human disease. Dr. Brisken has made groundbreaking contributions to the development of patient-specific models of breast cancer, including the creation of the EMBER platform, which integrates multiple breast cancer transcriptomic datasets to enable precision oncology.
